Umgås Is Heading To NIFF

Umgås is headed to New York City for the Nordic International Film Festival (NIFF)!

The festival, started by Swedish actors/directors Johan Matton and Linnea Larsdotter, is celebrating its fourth year and takes place this weekend at the Scandinavia House.

NIFF attendees will get to watch films from several Nordic countries that are making international and national debuts. The opening night film “Holiday” is directed by Swedish filmmaker Isabella Eklöf, who is making her feature directorial debut. “Letters,” which is making its North American premiere, is a documentary feature by Norwegian filmmaker Marte Vold. And making its international premiere at NIFF, “Nina” is directed by Maria Winther Olsen. In case you missed it, ladies are taking over at NIFF.

See the full lineup here, and check back next week for our coverage from the event. If you need us before then, we’ll be busy walking the red carpet.
