A Brief Story On Swedish Underwear Brands For Your Man

When it comes to underwear for your man, you’ve got plenty of options from Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss to Hanes and Polo Ralph Lauren.

Looking for something other than the same old same old?

Here are four Swedish brands to consider when it’s time for the guy in your life to get a new pair of skivvies.

Frigo

Founded in Sweden in 2007 and incorporated in the United States in 2010, Frigo has built a reputation for high-tech underwear with all kinds of bells and whistles. Prices range from about $20 on the low end to more than $100 if you can get your hands on limited edition boxer briefs created in collaboration with 50 Cent or its Super 9-inch trunks. We’ve got our eyes on the Frigo Tencel six-pack (if only we had the six-pack abs to match).

Björn Borg

Named after the Swedish tennis star, Björn Borg also is known for its sportswear, and particularly its underwear, which is very popular in Sweden. Whether you’re looking for cotton, microfiber or performance underwear, you can expect to pay $25-$35 a pair. It also has plenty of options for women. This pair of Wind microfiber would look good.

Frank Dandy

With most options under $25 a pair (most of the multipacks end up at $15-$20 a pair), Frank Dandy mixes funky patterns and bright colors with traditional styles. We dig this “Bees” pair and this combo pack “Swewaii.” Women’s styles also are available.

Happy Socks

We’ve told you about Happy Socks’ socks, but did you know the company started in 2008 also does underwear? Like the socks, you’ll get lots of color options for your skivvies, whether they be trunks, briefs or boxers. Prices run $18-$30, and women can find styles of their own. These Dog Trunks caught our attention.
