Filling Up On Swedish Stocking StuffersDecember 13, 2017
If your stockings already are hung by the chimney with care, you better make sure you have something to go in them come Christmas morning. Our general rule of thumb when coming up with stocking stuffers for the family are:
- It should be small enough to fit in a stocking.
- It shouldn’t cost more than $20.
We’ve rounded up some Swedish and Swedish-inspired stocking stuffers, some probably only good for that one wacky uncle or quiet hipster cousin, others that could be good for the whole family!
A company called Light My Fire makes something called Swedish FireSteel, a fire starter that’s perfect for the outdoor enthusiasts in your family. For the avid camper, this product will last for 12,000 strikes. Now that’s a lot of fire.
Who doesn’t love a little bit of candy at the bottom of their stocking? Sockerbit is a candy store with stores in New York City and Los Angeles that will ship its products straight to you. Try out one of its seasonal gift options, or buy a wrapped candy (like fruxo klubba) in bulk and put a little bit in everyone’s stocking.
IKEA Tea Infuser
This stainless steel tea infuser (the Ljudlös) is a steal at $2.99. For the tea drinker in your family, they’ll love that it nests itself on the rim and into their favorite cup. For an added touch, pair it with a baggie of their favorite loose tea.
Nordic Goods Vanilla Sprinkle
Nordic Goods, a company we’ve featured before, recently released a new line of products, including a vanilla sprinkle of fresh vanilla bean and sugar. It’s perfect for the person in your family who has a little bit of a sweet tooth.
Sure, gifting socks seems like the thing an old grandparent would do, but we’re betting money that no one would think a pair from Happy Socks would be a bad gift! Most pairs are $12 and they come in a wide variety of designs.
ABBA Greatest Hits CD
“Mamma Mia,” this would be a great stocking stuffer for the “Dancing Queen” in your life! No need to send out an “S.O.S.” to get a gift squared away, just “Take a Chance on Me” by buying ABBA’s GOLD Greatest Hits album.
Ulterior Motive Pocket Square
For the fashionable man in your life, check out the line of pocket squares from Ulterior Motive. The patterns are fairly traditional (think Gingham and polka dots), but they’re graphic and fun and would jazz up an outfit in a flash.
Knapp Byran Enamel Pins
Enamel pins are making a fashion comeback, and we’re loving these pins we found on Etsy. There are fika-themed pins, a couple of different dala horses and even a Lucia pin for the holidays.
Face Stockholm Nail Polish
Face Stockholm isn’t just for faces – the company also has a line of nail polishes that would be good for the picky teenage girl in your family. We’re liking the #100, which is very close to Pantone’s color of the year for 2018. On trend!
