Swedish Reality Show Allt för Sverige Again Seeking Americans
It’s that time again: The Swedish show Allt för Sverige (or the American title Great Swedish Adventure) is casting for its eighth season.
If you have Swedish ancestry, an interest to learn about your roots and never have been to Sweden, you just might make it as a reality TV star. The deadline to apply is Feb. 7, and applicants need to commit to a maximum of six weeks of shooting in May and June (the four finalists stay the whole time)
Allt för Sverige is watched by about 1 in 3 people in Sweden and challenges contestants with cultural tasks as they compete to win the grand prize – a chance to meet their Swedish relatives.
Last year’s winner was Dylan Ratell, a 27-year-old currently appearing in “Chicago The Musical” as it tours North America (check out this great feature from MLive.com on Dylan). And a pair of contestants, Tori Allen and Nathan Younggren, found love – Allen, who was living in Colorado, and Younggren, from Minnesota, were married on New Year’s Eve after meeting on the show.
