We Lost Brain Cells Watching This 2015 Video, But Don’t Regret A Second
Circular head. Thick brown ’stache with even thicker eyebrows. Classy red bow tie. Had his own cooking show.
Any guesses?
It’s none other than our favorite Swedish Chef. No, not, Magnus Nilsson, although he does have a great head of hair. The Muppet himself, the OG Swedish Chef.
As we were going down a rabbit hole doing some research for a very important upcoming article, we stumbled across a video that sincerely has made our week. The video is from 2015 (does that tell you how much of a rabbit hole this was?), and it features YouTuber and impressionist Brock Baker dressed up as the Swedish Chef — blue striped shirt, apron, chef’s hat and all, performing a rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier” completely in character.
We have so many questions. Where in the world did he come up with this idea? Why Sia? Why the Swedish Chef? Why “Chandelier?” Why “Chandelier” a year after it came out? Where can we cop that costume?
It is unbelievably random, but we couldn’t look away and watched all two minutes and 14 seconds like it was our own life flashing before our eyes. But it was a man. Pretending to be the Swedish Chef. And singing Sia. The internet is a beautiful place.
And he so kindly provided the lyrics in case you want to sing along.
