Swedish Celebrities – Now and Then
We love a good #TBT, so we took a trip down memory lane to see where some of our favorite Swedish celebrities got their start.

Alexander Skarsgård
We swooned over Skarsgård around the time of his release of the live-action version of “Tarzan,” but did you know one of his earliest roles was Meekus in “Zoolander?” Meekus was no Eric Northman, but he was a male model – that has to count for something, right?

Zara Larsson
Before she blew the world away with “Never Forget You,” Larsson’s 10-year-old voice blew away the Swedes as the 2008 winner of Sweden’s version of Got Talent, “Talang.” It only took a couple of years for her to follow her voice and find fame; her debut EP launched in 2013.

Alicia Vikander
We’re used to seeing her on the big screen starring in films like “The Danish Girl” and “Ex Machina,” but in Vikander’s early days, she was showing off her talents on a local Swedish talent show, “Småstjärnorna.”

Zlatan Ibrahimović
Another Swede we’ve swooned over, Ibra was only 15 years old when he signed on to play with his first professional team. Then, he was a little bit of a high school punk. Now, he’s a Premier League superstar, who unfortunately just got knocked out for nine months with a knee injury.

Tove Lo
Before she rocked us with her awesome tracks and bold fashion choices, back in 2006, Tove Lo was in the band Tremblebee. The indie-alt rock band was basically a group of unknown artists until Lo broke out on the music scene with “Habits.”
