Arm Wrestlers Bäckman, Nannestad Headed to Vegas for WAL Championships

We’ve written about Swedish arm wrestlers Sarah Bäckman (aka Sarah Rotunda) and Niklas Nannestad (aka “The Steel Giraffe”).

Bäckman and Nannestad are among the Swedes who will be competing in Las Vegas June 29 at the World Armwrestling League’s (WAL) Championships, which will be carried live by ESPN.

Bäckman has won eight World Championships (four with each arm), and Nannestad earned a WAL title with his left arm last year, the first time Europeans were allowed to compete in the Las Vegas event.

Here are the Swedes who will compete in Las Vegas this time around:
