Swedes Still Looking To Advance After Heartbreaking Loss To Germany

So close.
Sweden took an early lead on Germany in their World Cup match on Saturday before the Germans tied the match in the second half and ultimately won in extra time on a penalty kick – catch up on the highlights thanks to Fox Sports.
A win or draw against Germany, and the Swedes would be great position to advance to the knockout round. Sweden still can advance under various scenarios (here’s what Reuters and USA Today), but the simplest way is to beat Mexico, which already has two wins, and Germany loses to South Korea, which already has two losses.
The “Group of Death” moniker has lived up to its hype as defending-champ Germany lost to Mexico in its first match and was pushed to the limit against the Swedes. With one match remaining in group play, no team has secured a spot in the knockout round, and each of the four teams still has a chance to advance.
