Most Popular Baby Names of 2016
Earlier this week, Statistics Sweden released the Top 10 names given to newborns in Sweden in 2016.
Alice made it to the No. 1 spot on the girls’ side, rising from second in 2015, and Oscar jumped four spots to No. 1 for the boys.
Meanwhile. the United States seems to have had longer-lasting trends. According to Babycenter.com, Sophia has been the most popular girl name since 2012, and Jackson has held the top spot for boys since 2013.
Olivia made both countries’ Top 10 on the girls’ side. On the boys’ side, Lucas, Liam, Noah and the Oliver/Olives variation are popular in both countries.
