Buy Your Plane Tickets Now: Swede Sara Johansson Is Instagram’s Latest Hot Pilot

It seems the skies have room for one more drop-dead gorgeous Swedish pilot.

Last year we wrote about Malin Rydqvist, a Swedish pilot based in Croatia who travels internationally for a living (and is also a yoga aficionado). Another day, another hot pilot, and this time, it’s first officer Sara Johansson.

Johansson, 33, is from Borås, Sweden and recently has been featured in The Sun, Daily Mail and Daily Star for her impressive Instagram following (32K followers), beauty and occupation. According to the Daily Mail, Johansson has worked as a commercial pilot for two and a half years, commanding a Boeing 737, and more recently a Falcon 7X.

Most people have dreams of flying airplanes as soon as they are old enough to remember, but Johansson was a bit different – she was afraid of flying. It took sitting down in the cockpit of a plane at 16 years old to realize her dream, but at the time, she was attending school to be a hairdresser.

Johansson finished school and began working in a salon, but the skies already had captured her heart. She Googled the nearest pilot school, and the rest is history.

Today, she is a successful pilot and hopes that fans seeing her Instagram will be inspired to chase their own dreams – no matter the gender norms.

She told the Daily Mail, “Gender doesn’t fly the aircraft. People do.”
