Scandinavian Thriller ‘The Snowman’ Comes To Life

We’re days away from Halloween, and many of us are looking for our next fright fix.

If you’re jonesing for something terrifying, look no further than “The Snowman,” which is ripped from the pages of bestselling Norwegian author Jo Nesbø’s novel of the same name.

The plot is centered on Inspector Harry Hole (played by Michael Fassbender), who is investigating a case that occurred on the first snowfall of winter – a sign that the notorious snowman killer has made its return.

Production of the film began in Norway in 2016 and stars Swedish actors Rebecca Ferguson, David Dencik and Sofia Helin, as well as Norwegian actor Jakob Oftebro.

The film was directed by Tomas Alfredson, who also was the director of another scary Swedish flick – “Let the Right One In.”
