SACCNY Tackles Sustainability At Annual Conference
For 12 years, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in New York City (SACCNY) has been putting on its Sustainology Summit, and year 13 is shaping up to be the biggest one yet.
The Sustainology Summit, held at Citi HQ on November 12, is an action-oriented FoodTech and sustainability conference. This year’s theme is “Sustainology Summit: 1 Billion – Impact Unicorn in the Food Chain,” and will bring together Swedish and American FoodTech entrepreneurs, startups, scaleups, investors, sustainability experts, academics, politicians and corporate executives to explore how to move towards a sustainable food system.

The Summit provides attendees an opportunity to engage with industry experts and innovators, meet with like-minded individuals and develop meaningful partnerships. Attendees will hear from speakers like Björn Öste, founder of Oatly and Good Idea Drinks; Lisa Davis, sustainability manager at IKEA U.S.; and Sandra Noonan, chief sustainability officer at Just Salad.
The day’s activities involve keynote addresses, speaker panels, interactive workshops, networking opportunities – and of course – a fika. The day culminates in a lunch and the announcement of the winner of the Deloitte Green Award, and annual award recognizing a Swedish company that clearly demonstrates forward-thinking and innovation within its sustainability efforts.
Tickets for the Sustainology Summit are on sale now. General admission tickets are $60, and SACCNY members can attend for $50. Umgås readers can get a 50% discount using the code “SACCNY50.”
