Revving Up With Husqvarna
Craftsman. Stihl. John Deere. Husqvarna. You’ve seen all of these brands lined up at your local hardware store or big box retailer.
But did you know that one of these brands is Swedish?
Husqvarna is just one of the companies under Husqvarna Group, which is headquartered in Stockholm. The company manufactures a variety of consumer and commercial products, like tractors, mowers, tillers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers and more.
Our favorite? The robotic lawn mower.
Husqvarna Group was founded more than 300 years ago in 1689, when it originally produced rifles. Through the years, it continued to manufacture a variety of household products like sewing machines, kitchenware and bicycles. It wasn’t until 1918 when Husqvarna acquired Norrahammars Ironworks, Sweden that it created the foundation of today’s product line.
According to its website, Husqvarna Group is the global leader in outdoor power equipment. About 50 percent of its sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with another 40 percent generated in North America.
Fresh out of this year’s Green Industry and Equipment Expo, Lawn & Landscape magazine highlights some of Husqvarna’s newest product offerings, which include Yamaha-engine models for its mowers, the new Endurance Collection of chainsaws and PPE like helmets for its commercial clientele.

And if chainsaws and power tools aren’t your thing, have no fear: Husqvarna Motorcycles are here. If you need an adrenaline rush, the photos in this Verge article will speak to your need for speed.
Other banner brands in the Husqvarna Group include Weed Eater, Gardena, Poulan Pro and Diamant Boart, among others. To learn more about Husqvarna and its products in the United States, follow the company on Facebook and Instagram, or visit its website.
