Olympic Faces: Golfers Henrik Stenson & Anna Nordqvist

As the world’s best athletes compete in Rio for the Summer Olympics, Umgås will highlight some of Sweden’s best and brightest.
Today, we take a look at Henrik Stenson and Anna Nordqvist.
Sport – Golf
Vitals – Stenson: 40 years old…from Gothenburg, Sweden… world’s No. 5 player
Nordqvist: 29 years old…from Eskiltuna, Sweden…world’s No. 11 player
Why You Should Watch – Golf makes its return to the Olympics for the first time since 1904, and Stenson and Nordqvist could be in the mix. Stenson earned his first major by winning this year’s British Open and also finished tied for seventh in the PGA Championship. Nordqvist was the runner up at this year’s U.S. Women’s Open, losing in a playoff. She has finished in the Top 10 at three LPGA events this year, including a win in the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer in June.

Fore! – Stenson simply was brilliant at The British Open, especially on the last day. Here’s the putt that capped his historic weekend.
Class Act – A big blow to Nordqvist’s hopes of winning the U.S. Women’s Open was when it was ruled that she grounded her club in a bunker, a two-stroke penalty. As unfortunate as it was, she was praised for the way she handled the situation in the moment as well as afterward.
Getting Social – Stenson is on Twitter and Instagram; Nordqvist is on Twitter and Instagram.
