The Guardian premiered a 20-minute documentary, “Killing Gävle,” that takes a look at the history of the holiday tradition and the plot to burn it down.

Look for Swedish star Rebecca Ferguson in “The Greatest Showman.” Ferguson portrays Jenny Lind, a legendary Swedish singer we wrote about earlier this month, but don’t listen for Ferguson’s voice. According to PopSugar, the voice you hear in the movie will be that of Loren Allred, a finalist on season three of “The Voice.”

Is Magnus Eriksson headed to San Jose?
Rumors that Swedish striker Magnus Eriksson may leave the Swedish League for San Jose of the MLS are picking up steam. The Swedish paper Expressen reports that a deal for the star player is done. San Jose introduced Mikael Stahre, a 42-year-old native of Stockholm, as its coach in November.
