Check Out Los Angeles’ Newest Pop-up Shop

Attention West Coast Umgås Magazine readers: The Swedish Snus Store pop up shop is now open in Los Angeles. Through December 2016, the community-focused pop up will serve as a public hangout space, shared workplace and communal relaxation and inspiration hub.

The Swedish Snus Store provides guests with an array of seating options suited for both relaxation and productivity, including a window front laptop bar, outdoor banquettes and an indoor fireplace lounge.

The store, which also offers a complimentary fruit- and herb-infused water bar, coffee and snacks, is adorned with live bergamot plants and lime trees, rustic terrariums, and communal reading materials and activities.

“Our hope was to turn this empty commercial space, which was formerly a dilapidated surf bungalow, into something constructive for the Venice Beach community and its residents,” said Mike Dean, Brand Manager for General snus, U.S. Division at Swedish Match. “Abbott Kinney Blvd. is known for it’s ‘good vibes’ and unique people and shops. We couldn’t be more thrilled to join this community and welcome our neighbors.”

Also available within the store is General snus for purchase. General snus is a smokeless and spitless upper lip tobacco that originated in Sweden more than 200 years ago.

The Swedish Snus Store is located at 1413 Abbot Kinney Venice, CA 90291.  The store is open daily from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. to adults 21 and older.
