In The News: World’s Smallest McDonald’s Opens – For Bees – In Sweden
A really tiny McDonald’s that can serve thousands of guests opened in Sweden.
According to Adweek (requires subscription) and Mental Floss, McDonald’s Sweden collaborated with NORD DDB to create a miniature McDonald’s that doubles as a beehive. With global bee populations declining, some McDonald’s in Sweden have put beehives on their roofs. Now that’s a way to attract some “buzz.”

We love climate activist Greta Thunberg. This week, the Swedish teenager met with world leaders in Vienna to share her thoughts on climate change and got to rub shoulders with various world leaders. According to CBS News, she also met Arnold Schwarzenegger, who posted a pic of the two on Twitter.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Swedish soccer start Zlatan Ibrahimović, who was serving a two-game suspension for an altercation with New York City FC’s goalie on May 11. Ibra scored and assisted in his return, and according to ESPN.com, said afterward, “Criticism is everywhere. I like it. I eat it for breakfast … and then for lunch.”

Our favorite bad girl Tove Lo just dropped a new song, “Glad He’s Gone,” and an accompanying video. The song, according to Rolling Stone, is the first from her new album “Sunshine Kitty.”
