In The News: IKEA Says No To Plastic
IKEA announced this week that it was phasing out all single-use plastic products by 2020. According to CNN.com, that means the Swedish retailer will stop selling stuff like straws, plates, cups and garbage bags. It also means no more of those kinds of items in its restaurants.

Italians not cheering on Swedes in World Cup
The World Cup is nearly here. And as you may remember, Sweden kept Italy out of the draw for the first time since 1958. It seems some Italians still haven’t forgotten. According to ESPN.com, a group of Italians took out a full-page ad in a Swedish newspaper that they’ll support “everyone but Sweden.”

We love the trends that keep coming out of Sweden, from lagom to death cleaning to plogging. It seems others do as well, and the trends don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. PBS examined lagom, and House Beautiful highlighted Swedish death cleaning.

It’s been rumored, and there have been hints. But we may have our best indication yet that a Swedish House Mafia tour is coming in 201. According to DJ Mag, DJ/producer Steve Angello said, “It’s happening, obviously,” about the prospects of a tour.
Getting pumped for ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’
The trailer for “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” is out, and Claire Foy, known for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in “The Crown,” is unrecognizable as Lisbeth Salander, according to EOnline.com.
