How to Make Your Own Midsummer Flower Crown

Break out the flower crowns!

Whether you are heading to a Midsummer event in your hometown or hosting your own celebration at home, a flower crown is a must have. We made one of our own to show you just how easy it is (video below).

What you’ll need:

  • Fresh flowers (or fake; we don’t discriminate)
  • Floral tape
  • Cheap basic crown or floral wire
  • Scissors
  • Flower preservation spray (snag it on Amazon)

The process is simple, but repetitive.

If you can’t find a cheap basic crown (we found ours at Target for a dollar), twist together enough floral wire to fit the circumference of your head; that will function as your base.

Using scissors, cut your flowers so they have a little stem left on them.

Create mini bouquets with different flowers and wrap floral tape around the bouquet affixing it to the crown base.

Repeat this over and over again until you have filled your entire crown.

That’s really it. Happy Midsummer and happy crafting!

If you make your own crown, share it with us on Facebook or email your photo to us at info@umgasmagazine.com, and we may just feature you on our page.
