Find Your Fika: Best Stockholm Coffee Shops
There is something magical about sipping a freshly brewed cup of coffee that brings a new level of life and warmth to your day. Whether you’re knocking out the cobwebs first thing in the morning or sitting with your friends in a café, a great cup of coffee can change the course of your entire day.

In Sweden, this glorious beverage has become the center of a longstanding tradition – fika (check out our piece on Fika and Fika in New York City) – that has led the International Coffee Organization (ICO) to rank Sweden as one of the Top 10 coffee-consuming countries (Swedes consume roughly nine to 10 kilograms of coffee per capita annually.)
Fika translates into taking a break or pause from work to socialize over cups of coffee. Because of this tradition, Stockholm has become home to hundreds of small coffee shops, cafés and bakeries (konditori) that sell pastries to quickly cater to hourly fika crowds.
