Swe-Dishes (And Drinks): ‘Doctor Bird’ Cocktail Recipe
From the “Svenska Spring” to the “Baked In,” packed with fall flavors, we have a collection of aquavit-focused cocktail recipes for each season of the year. And after chatting with the duo behind Kronan Swedish Punsch to learn more about their efforts to bring a Swedish staple to the United States, finding a recipe using Swedish Punsch was next on our list.
Thanks to Katie Stryjewski, the cocktail blogger behind Garnish, we are thrilled to share with you the “Doctor Bird.”
A mashup of the “Doctor Cocktail” and tiki drink the “Jungle Bird,” this libation is light and fruit forward, making it perfect for warm-weather sipping.
“[Doctor Bird] is essentially a Daiquiri that uses Swedish Punsch instead of sweetener,” Stryjewski says in her blog. “It’s bright and tropical with a hint of bitterness.”
We hope you enjoy. Cheers!

- 1/2 oz. Aperol
