Americans Try Kalles Kaviar

The team at Umgås has tried Swedish snacks, candies, dishes and drinks galore!

We’re huge fans of Lördagsgodis, aquavit and fika, but taste-testing delicacies like pickled herring had mixed reviews. Next on our list was the popular and arguably delicious Kalles Kaviar, a smoked and salted cod roe paste in a tube typically served with boiled eggs on rye crispbread.

Once again, reactions were mixed and included both dread and excitement along with a few feline references. Enjoy!
