Alexander Skarsgård scores an Emmy

Last night at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards, Alexander Skarsgård took home the statuette in the outstanding supporting actor in a limited series or movie category for his role in “Big Little Lies.”
In the series, the brooding Swedish actor plays the role of Perry Wright, businessman and husband of Nicole Kidman’s character – and without giving away any spoilers, he plays a major role in one of the most intense storylines of the show.
Skarsgård’s plus-one for the evening was his mother, who flew in from Stockholm to be by his side.
This was Skarsgård’s first Emmy nomination and win. He beat out Stanley Tucci and Bill Camp, among others.
