How We Feel About Sweden Advancing To The World Cup QuarterfinalsJune 26, 2019
Our ladies did it – the Swedes are advancing to the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. This weekend, Sweden will match up against Germany in a match that’s sure to be fierce – the Germans beat the Swedes to win gold in Rio. Sure, the Swedes had a tough face-off with Team U.S.A., but Sweden redeemed itself yesterday against Canada.
We have all the feels. And here are some of them.
Who run the world? GIRLS.
When Stina Blackstenius got that goal in the 55th minute, we were like…
Us celebrating the win over Canada like a bunch of “Dancing Queens.”
Our moves after one or two post-match celebratory aquavits…
Daydreaming about another sweet Swede victory against Germany.
Psst, this is funny because Ms. Vikander married a German man. House divided.
Last year, the Swedish men’s team fell out of the running in the quarterfinals when they were matched up against England. Can our ladies outshine the men? We’ll have to wait until Saturday to find out.
